Waldviertel fishing festivals

A tradition in autumn is the annual fishing festival, where the ponds are drained to catch fish such as the Waldviertel carp.

The Waldviertel fishing festivals are an experience for the whole family! You can expect all kinds of information about the fishing trade, Waldviertel carp and pond farming. Culinary delights and regional specialities are also on offer at the farmers’ market at the pond entrance.

This year the fishing festivals will take place in Gallien, Litschau, Heidenreichstein and Geras.
